We are nearly a month into the 2017-18 National Hockey League (NHL) season, and with that, it is time for an iPlayHockey fantasy hockey pool update!
The story of the season so far has been the pure dominance of Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov. Both players riding massive point streaks currently, they are atop the league with 21 and 19 points respectively in just 11 games! The next closest player in the entire league has 14 points (Jaden Schwartz)!
With that being said, the top teams in iPlayHockey’s fantasy hockey pool are typically going to contain one or both of these players.
“Yoshy’s Skaters” are currently well ahead on the top of the leaderboard and you guessed it, Nikita Kucherov is leading the charge. Also on this team are Jaden Schwartz, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Jakub Voracek, all of whom are off to amazing starts this year.
From the 8-point drop-off there is from first place to second, it becomes a total log jam. “Mugs” currently holds second place with 233 points, and “Soly”, “madfish” and “Newfs” are currently in a three-way tie for third with 232 points.
These standings change every day with the amount of hockey going on and the amount of players having monster nights.
