If you are a parent and you’re looking for fun ideas or activities for your children this spring and summer, consider hockey camp!
Hockey camp is great for your children for many reasons.
If they are already involved in the sport, it gives them the opportunity to refine their skills and work on specific aspects of their game, whether it’s power skating, shooting, edge work, etc. Every camp works on different parts of hockey and you have the freedom to choose based on your child’s needs.
Regardless of what category the camp falls under, your child is going to get plenty of exercise throughout the day or week, spending a lot more time on the ice than they’re used to. They’ll come home from camp feeling refreshed, energized, and ready to dive even deeper into their love for the game.
Lastly, the social aspect – this is particularly relevant for week-long camps, but regardless of length your child is highly likely to meet new friends. They’re going to be put into a room of kids they have probably never met before, and yes at first they may be intimidated, but when they have the opportunity to goof around on the ice and share their passion for hockey with kids their age, they’ll be making new friends in no time.
