In the latest instalment of the 2017/2018 winter season, the Gators faced off against the Dirty Dogs in a late late game.
How late you ask?
The game ended the next day, that's how late.
Both teams took to the ice with 10 skaters. That's late night beer league for ya. Dogs opened the scoring on an inside post snipe early on. Nebs tied the game up a few minutes later on and end to end rush. Probably could have signed a few autographs on the way with how fast he flys past guys.
He must work out.
Dogs got their lead back halfway through the period on a lone man cutting through four guys effort. Not much else happened.
Gators came out in the second guns blazing, at the 9min mark the goal light started flickering. Ross at 9:27, Hutch at 9:43, Scrads at 10:05, McRae at 11:09 (on a lazy slap shot), Ross' second of the period at 11:36 and Overton at 13:56. Just a few flickers.
In between periods they changed out the light and the third began. the third saw 6 goals scored again, but split 3 and 3 this time. Nebs tallied his second and Ross finished his hat trick. The Gators cruised to a 10-5 final. Defensive juggernaut it was... not.
Other Gator news.
Hutch got new laces.
Its hard to find white laces nowadays
Michaels hates Spenny
Taillon is building something in Grande Prairie
Overton is rocking a beard
Fetting went to work once wearing a lone boot.
There is a point when you can be so drunk you don't realize you only have one boot on, yet responsible enough to find a way to show up for work.
