C'mon, you knew it was an eventuality.

You cant have an adult hockey league connected to a casino and not have guys bet something.

The saturday, November 18th version of Gator hockey saw a friendly wager of Tap25 drink vouchers on the line.  Playoff atmoshpere maybe?  Better than maybe?  Hell, even Nebs showed up early, and Nebs NEVER shows up early.

If we needed an added incentive, future Mrs. Overton supplied Trav with some yummy cupcakes.  Win and we get an additional Tap25 coupon and cupcakes.  Lose and we forfeit our coupon and Trav throws each cupcake out individually while looking at each player.

Reason enough to come out firing.  An early PP saw Nebs go, as the young kids say, "Top Cheddar", to be followed up less than a minute later by Conrad for an early 2-0 lead.  The middle of the period saw a little back and forth play, then Kyle got the 2 goal lead back at the 12min mark.  That got erased a minute later on an oopsie deflection off a skate that Lowrey didn't oopsie put his pad down to prevent.  First period ended 3-2.

Second saw the same back and forth, and a 2 goal lead regained by Taylor on a beautiful end-to-ender, then increased to 3 by Overton channelling the power of the cupcake.  The Stealth then clawed back to within one, when a clearing attempt was picked up off the boards and a heater was tee'd off from the faceoff circle with a minute left.  The second period ended 5-3.

Third saw the seriousness of the bet kicking in.  Stealth got called for a crosscheck a minute in, a scuffle at the 4min mark saw another couple Stealth penalites including a game ejection for a rough to the head.  Gators couldn't capitalize and the 5on3.  Stealth went back to the box at the 7min mark and killed off another penalty then went on the PP after a Culby crosscheck.  Gators killed that one off only to face a late PK at the 11min mark.    Stealth made good on a breakaway and voila! a one-goal game.  That's as close as she got. 

Gator win streak continues, Gators slide into 2nd in the div, and face Sten Bros on Wednesday in a painfully late game.  Yuck
