First game of the new year, the league coordinator comes in before our game

"I'm here to give Brad Filewich his 'Player of the Month' prize

Room is silent,

"We have a Brad on our team... Are you sure about the award?" 

She was right, good ole Scrads HAS been playing good. AND almost penalty free

I know right? 

Moving along... the Jan 7th version of Gator Hockey skated to  a 7-4 win to the delight of the cast of Golden Girls (there was a bunching of white haired grandma's that were in behind the net in Tap25).  Who led this Gator team to victory you ask?  Why none other than the blistering slapshot machine named Fetting.

Little known fact about Brock: 

That opening scene of 300 where there was a baby on a mountain top (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvT_ujWSRg0) was loosely based on Brock.  In the original story the man gave him a hockey stick and Brock killed the whole Greek army with bardown clappers.  The skulls in the scene are flames fans.

First period saw the Ice Dogs keep relative pace with us, but goals by Brady and Culbertson had us up 2-0

Second period started with a Ice Dogs goal, Gators chomped back with goals by Brock, Hutch, and Player of the month Brad.  The remainder of the game saw a swap of goals, and ended 6-2 with 25 shots being fired around.  

Third period the Gators went on cruise control, still managed to fire 11 shots.  Nebs stopped to do a photoshoot and jumped on to the ice shortly afterwards to net a PP goal.  Lowrey fell asleep on a couple goals but went on to grab the W.
