In the latest instalment of Gator Hockey I'm gonna coin an old Stampede Wrestling phrase.  Be warned, if you have no idea what a stampede wrestling was, A) google it 2) there is no B, and C) fuck off.. really? You've never heard of Stampede wrestling?!...  

 

It was a 'Ring-a-ding-dong dandy'  

 

Why use an archaic, albeit awesome phrase coined by the legend (god bless his soul) Ed Whalen?  Because #GatorOfTheGame was won by 'Old Balls' Culbertson.  How is this possible you ask?  He had a 5 point night including a hat trick!  Post game interview comprised of Culby simply saying 'Get off my lawn' as he went to the dressing rooms to inevitably apply some ancient and long time expired arthritis medication.

 

Monday night's tilt saw a wild and wooly 10-8 hockey game... Repeat hockey.  first period saw the Blackhawks strike first.  That was as close as they'd get as the Gators chomped back four straight from Landis, Culby, Adam and Travis. Some guy named Sampson pulled them back to within two and the period ended.

 

Goalies skated to the other nets and Culby proceeded to net his second and third of the game.  Landis scored his contractually agreed upon second goal and then that damn Sampson guy scored again, making three for him again. Inconsiderate.  Nebs found the net again and the Blackhawks got all fired up when they found out an Abercrombie model had just scored two.  They pegged off three goals to see the period end 8-6

 

Third period tapered down a touch, that Sampson guy scored again, as did another hawk.  Eric felt a little left out and scored a couple as well.  I guess that's ok, it made the overall difference.  We'll give him that, he leads a relatively unfulfilling life.
