The thursday, Feb 1st version of Gator Hockey was a back and forth battle between the streaking Gators and streaking Penguins.  Gators on a winning tear, Penguins on a losing tear.

Lowrey fresh off a 2 week vacation in Maui took the pipes.  He, unlike Montoya was available to the media pre game, but only replied "Being Tan is a lifestyle" to any question.  Much like Montoya however he declined answering any questions from Ryan Rishaug.

This was an emotional game, or at least lets for arguments sake say it was.  It adds a little more to the updates that way.  Emotional because Jan 31st was BellLetsTalk day.  It makes us thing of Eric McRae.  Eric leads a very unfulfilling life, and is generally intolerable.  A glass case of emotion if you will.  Jan 31st is the only day of the year when random people will actually listen to him and it gives him a heightend sense of self worth.  This flowed into the Feb 1st game as Eric was on fire.

First period saw Eric dish off for 2 Gator Bingos from Gillis and Detillieux.  The Penguins battled back and finished the period knotted at 2-2

Second period saw much of the same.  Gators score, Penguins claw back.  McRae selflessly passed and aided in another Gator goal, Penguins battled back and the period ended 4-4

Third saw the Penguins tally first, taking their first lead of the game.  Abercrombie model Adam said "Nope"  and shelfed a loose puck tying the game up shortly after.  Penguins said "oh yeah!" and went ahead again.  Then they got a little cocky and took a penalty.  Eric put aside his emotional support peacock (weird story, google it)  and stepped on the ice to net the tying PP goal  Penguins took another stupid penalty and Mr.100 Travis Overton  played the hero and scored the eventual game winning PP goal.

McRae gets #GatorOfTheGame nods, threw away the peacock and now has Gary the Gator as his emotional support animal.

Eric gets his day in the limelight.  Next week he will be back to leading an unfulfilling existence
