Who invited you anyways? 2018-03-09

So the Friday, March 9th episode of Gator Hockey was a 'hodge-podge' of activity.  Friday was Old Man Culby's 40th birthday.

He had priorities, parties to attend, ect.  Healthy scratch.

Brock was in Mexico, or was it Moose Jaw... irregardless he was a scratch too.

McRae was either studying math, or had a pulled groin, either excuse placed him on some kind of IR.

Landis was probably drinking or fixing a trailer, or fixing a drunk trailer.  Healthy scratch.

Taillon had better things to do, like styling his hair.  Healthy Scratch.

The only unhealthy scratch was Lowrey who broke his back doing the CrashedIce Goalie Race.  He must have bumped his head as well as he kept quoting the infamous Mike Tyson "I broke my back, my back is broken.... spinal" interview.  He'll be alright, he walked it off.  Clay took the pipes with only a couple hours notice.  We like that Clay guy.

Oh yeah, and Spencer showed up.  I'd like to think its purely because "Evan hates Hockey" and wont play (currently working on trademarking that phrase).  Its also because nobody wants to play defense, and he's the rare breed that will.  Lets not inflate his ego any more than it needs though, he'll be riding the wave that is scoring the game winning goal.  That came near the end of the first.  Yes, we had this one locked up by the end of the first.  Handy eh?

The Gators came out firing all game, 14 first period shots saw a 4-0 lead.  17 second period shots extended it to a 6-1 lead, and the cruise control third saw a final result of 8-3.

Notable performance is Abercrombie Adam with An Abundance of Apples, Also Acknoweldged As Assists (x4)
