So I’m lazy and going to bunch two games worth of summaries in one episode

This weekend saw the Gators play a witching hour Friday night game against the division leading Growlers and a Sunday matinee vs the sportsing team from Optimise Physiotherapy

How did we fair you ask?  Interestingly enough I will tell you… in words

Friday nights 11:30pm start versus the Growlers started off like most late late late games do.  Hijinks.  It also introduced us all to probably the largest booger I’ve ever seen someone not notice themselves.  I actually think Eric thought we were all kidding.  God Bless Eric.  Discussion also involved stories about a guy named ‘Fitzy’ and impersonations of a guy named Donny O, who amongst other things can hold numerous conversations while beating people with chairs.  Can’t even imagine this stuff.  I would have never survived the Parkland area growing up.

So…. We beat the division leader 9-4.  That tends to happen when you fire 36 shots on net.  The Overton / Detillieux line pairing wrecked a lot of havoc on the Growlers goalie.  Dev struck for 3 goals and an assist, Overton struck for 1 and assisted on 4.  Conrad came out for a skate and Lowrey chalked up a win.

Sunday’s afternoon post- St. Patricks Day matinee didn’t quite yield the same result.  There may have been some alcohol still in the bloodstream of most of the Gators.  And of course we had to play a team made up of health and wellness nuts to boot.  G’damn Karma.  They probably did group stretches before the game with those stupid elastic bands and crap.  We lost 8-5 which included a couple empty netters.  We also had a misplayed puck that ended up with the Physio guys banking a puck off Lowrey from behind the red line nonetheless for the game winner.  To quote the handsomest guy on the team (Adam)  “We had that game coming, hope that gets it out of our system”

Grant begrudgingly gave Detillieux #GatorOfTheGame for his hat trick vs the Growlers.  Detillieux don’t pass, Detillieux don’t care.  Detillieux gets bingos

Detillieux then selflessly give Lowrey #GatorOfTheGame probably because he’s old, and due for it.

Other Gator News:

Hutchinson came to the Friday night game with a Hells Angels t-shirt he got at a rally.  He paid $15 cash.  So many questions starting with ‘you went to a hells angels rally because?....’The infamous ‘Fitzy’ probably has a chest tattoo that matches Hutch’s t-shirt

‘Donny O’ is probably aware that he was being talked about and stopped mid chair whacking to point at people in the bar and say “who’s talking about me on the interweb! You’d better stop that or your next!!”

Spenny didn’t sell any boats but bought a couple from another dealer so he’s -$80k
