Winter 2018/19 Started off against an old foe in the Lonestars.
If you recall these guys have good ole Principal Gulli. Brad remembers. It was kind of a shame Gulli missed this game. In fact, most of his team missed this game. 9PM rolled around and their bench started and finished the game with 6 skaters
How well did the Lonestars fare you say?
Well they scored on thier first shot, 41 seconds in, so theres that. Newbie Gator McNamara tied it up less than a minute later, and again at around the 9min mark. /returning Gator Tremblay tallied shortly after that and the Gators went to intermission up 3-1.
Hindsight being 20/20 Lowrey should have went to Tap25 for a beer since the second saw the Gators fire an amazing 24 shots at the tiring Lonestar goalie with 6 finding the net courtesy of Buckley, McRae, Filewich, Culbertson and 2 more from McNamara. Period ended Gators up 9-1
Third period saw the pace slow back. Lonestars clawed back a goal, Gators followed up with 3 more and the game ended 12-2. Ouchie
We were good boys and ended up getting a nacho coupon. We like nachos
Brad Filewich takes home #GatorOfTheGame with a 7 point performance (3 bingos, 4 apples)
Lowrey gets the win with a 24 save performance
Other Gator News:
Brock is workin on one hell of a flow. Kinda looks a little like Patty Kane... OR Patrick Kane is looking like Brock
Overton channelled his inner Spenny and surprisingly went -1 on the night
An abesent Spencer Shaw still found a way to go -2 on the night... and he's not even in the country.
New guys Mitch, Kyle and Gordon are good I guess, if you gauge good by scoring goals, getting takeaways, making good passes and winning faceoffs.
