Saturday's 'witching hour' tilt came against a familiar foe, the Federation. I find myself still resorting back to my youth when I would go out and check on cows while my little brother stayed in the house and watched Star Trek "The next Generation". In star trek the good guys were the Federation. For us, the douchecanoes are the Federation.
Salty much, why yes we do. We're in a freaking winless streak after all.
Did the streak continue, hells yeah it did. Damnit
11 Gators were good enough to show for an 11pm skate. Coffee's might not have hit the system by game start as the Federation struck for a couple early goals. Spenny clawed back one with a PP clapper followed up by a celly that only a mother could love. Spoiler alert, she didn't. In fact she called the River Cree office immediately afterwards to get them announce over the PA for him to 'knock it off'. The first ended with the Feds striking for one more.
Still grumpy from the scolding, Spenny took an early 2nd period penalty and the Feds stuck on the PP shortly there after, and increasing their lead about 4min later. Newbie Mitch closed that gap afterwards from Buckley's second apple of the night. Feds replied a minute later then the deathroll started via even strength goals from Overton, Buckley and Nebs. Second period ended with the gap closed to 1 goal.
Third period started and until about the 6th minute there was hope. Then the minute of darkness happened and the Feds notched 3. Shame was felt. Period eventually ended and the final was 9-5 for the Feds.
fuhhhhhhk
winless streak continues
