So the Gators got a good ole lump-o-shootout loss for Christmas this year Gator fans.

This came in the form of a 6-5 loss to the div leading Calmar Rebels.

Tough pill to swallow on account of a 4-2 lead after the first.

Sigh... 

First period highlights:

Period opened with a bingo off the stick of the to-be-married Travis Overton

Scrads found the twine for his 14th of the season

Grit players Culby and Gilly rounded out the period with some nice tallies as well... me want see more please

Second period highlights:

Defense.... we played defense... i know right!!!

Not much else happened

Third period highlights:

The wheels fell off early on 2 quick tallies by the rebels a couple minutes in.

There was a battle of the slashes at aroud the 4min mark

Shenanigans happened at the 7min mark that settled with Scrads getting 14PIM's

Buckley scored a beauty SH goal to tie the game up and send to a shootout

Rebels scored on their second shootout attempt and game was over

Other Gator news:

Hutch was hungry to get a bingo... something to do with getting a little sumpin-sumpin after the game.  I think his wife meant a Timmy's bagel.

Hutch's shootout attempt wasn't sucessful

McRae's mirror attempt of hutch's wasnt sucessful either
