breathe lowrey, breathe.......

The Sunday night funday night game set the 4-0 Gators vs the 'who cares' record of the Bombers.

That light dusting of nonchalantless (that's a word right) kinda sorta lead to the first couple goal hitting the Gators net... early.  Lowrey was still a little shook at the Gators not having an auto PP on account of the bombers gliding on the ice before the 'boni gate closed.  Faaaack, rules are suppose to be rules g'damnit.  Otherwise its anarchy, but thats another post.

So, Gators down 2-0 off the hop from Landon Ways's's's, checks stat line... 12th and 13th of the season.  I also checked the skeddy and this was their 5th game as well.   Hmmm, 13 goals in not quite 5 games.  Meh, we did that once with Morello, that handsome bastard.  Karma I suppose.  Buckley clawed 1 back a little later, his second cause thats normal stats 4 games into a beer league season.  Bombers got back their 2 goal lead just in time for the end of the period.  Yuck.

Well Scradley wasn't having that, and 4min into the second struck for his 3rd of the year, followed by Buckleys second of the game.  Someone not called Landon got the bombers back in the lead before the second closed out and off the the wild third we go!

Buckley finished off his hatty 5min into the third, tying the game up, and a couple min later the bombers take a goalie interference penalty that admittedly tweaked my hip.  PP couldnt get the go ahead goal by McRae a bit afterward buried a nice snipe and the Gators were finally ahead in the game, and firing pucks from everywhere.  Then the real owwie happened.  A very obvious offside sent a bomber forward in who promptly deked me out of the rink and that pinch became a holy f'n shi! I dont feel so healthy.  The bomber Lando obvious grabbed another goal and with 3min left we're back to being down 1.  Son of a....

But wait.  1min left Spender Shaw calls a crafty timeout.  Lowrey finally sits down and the Gators pressure and poorly setup faceoff positioning leads to the game tying goal by Filewich with a mere 2sec left on the clock.  Ohhhhh yeah!  Bench was buzzing, and off to the shootout we go.  Lowrey hobbled to the net as New Kev lined up at center.  In he went, and with some fancy stick handling the puck gets placed top glovehand and the bombers have to score to get another round.  Who do they line up?   Why... wait... not Landon?  are they drunk?  Anyway, whomever it was, was just as fuckered as Lowrey and he ended up losing the handle on the puck and the Gators win as puck hits pad.
