I’m sure I spelt that right.  Seems weird to name your team United Nations. 

For those curious, The UN (United Nations) Charter sets out four main purposes: Maintaining worldwide peace and security. Developing relations among nations. Fostering cooperation between nations in order to solve economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian international problems.  And some other gibberish that sounds good.

The UN that we played however:

Missed on the first main purpose by taking 2 penalties.

Missed on the second as none of them even tried to grab us in an inappropriate way in the corners.

They did kinda fulfill the third by letting in 8, which solved economic (light bulb replacement), social (we had fun), and humanitarian (gifting us a W) problems

I’m gonna assume they missed on the fourth as well, just cause

As for the game, I’ll abbreviate:

First period saw Resler tally a PP goal, and Spenny a 5on5 goal, both assisted by Tastey (does that guy ever not smile?).  UN fought back a goal as much as a peacekeeping entity can.  Period ended 2-1 Gators on a 10-8 shot advantage

Second Period saw Spenny ruin nachos with a trip, and guest star Connie bingo SH a touch later.  Tastey then was called for a trip as well, and shortly after that expired  the UN drew back to a 1-goal difference before the period ended.  After 2 it was 3-2 on a Gator shot advantage of 25-15.

Then the death roll…

I’d say we tuckered them out by they had 12 skaters to our 10.  Meh

Scrads started the bloodbath 1:11 in from a Overton feed,

A minute later Hutchy found the back of the net from KT and a fourth Teske apple

Another minute later Connie binged off Scrad and Hutch

The peacekeepers came in for a bit, then lost interest and after they left we finished with a Jordo rubbing the lamp from KT and McRae, and Connie adding one more for good measure from KT and Teske.
