… that actually happened by the way

The Monday Sept 28th version of Gator Hockey saw the green and gold take on, for the first time, the Bandits ‘A’ team.  I did check, they do have a ‘B’ team.  Its in the bottom div (18 of a total of 18 divs).  Do we know these guys? No.

Do we care? No.

Did we have a similar first period to our first game? No

Was that a good thing?  Nooo……-ish

First period saw the gators chomp away at 13 shots to the Bandits 12.  None found our net and we were down 2-0.

Worried? No.

At least it was a penalty free period and we were en route to free naaaaach… nope.  Damnit Spenny.  Although Spen does like to hold guys, so I guess it was inevitable.

In the second period and we rolled back that bandit lead off Jordo’s second bingo of the campaign via a Brady/Brady passing play.

We have two Brady’s.

They were both on the ice at the same time.  That explains the double Brady.  Period shots we knotted at 13.  Gators down by one.  Hayes looking good between the pipes.

Third period we introduced the Bandits to our death roll, and some more Brady Brady.  Brady V started the period off with a primary going to Jordo (cause he’s such a nice guy) and Hutch secondary.  Brady G, via a Hutchy prime and a Brendon secondary gave us all a lesson in going five hole and voila, we were up by one .  The Bandits got it back a few minutes later only to have that quickly corrected off the face off by new guy A-a-ron.  Buckley chiselled his assist and Hayes closed shop for the remainder of the period.

Final Score:

Gators 4  Bandits 3

Hayes stopped 34 for the win

New guy Aaron Letourneau gets #GatorOfTheGame nodd, but misses snuggles on account of Gary Gator being MIA

Other Gator News:

Newly minted full-timers Letourneau and Goebel got their first action of the year

Culby forgots the beers, likely on account of early onset dementia… cause he’s old

4-3 is a much more realistic score than last game

Spenny got a new skate blade and christened it by going -3

I pick on spenny way too much

No, no I dont
