Playoff game 2 pitted your favorite team in Green & Gold vs the stoners from Dazed and Confused.

Already having dropped our first round robin playoff game due to forfeit we were on the ropes.  That got me to thinking about that this scenrio and I came to the conclusion that it perfectly matches, and is indistunguisable to The Alamo.

Now this may be a shocker to many, but brace for it...

I'm not actually an American History scholar.  I know, I know. I'm often mistaken for a history professor

For those unversed in southern american History, the Battle of the Alamo was a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution.  Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna beat the Texans in a C2A round robin 3 game tourney after the texans had to forfeit out of their first game because some nutsack made the league scheduler book games on an Easter sunday near supper time.  The texan then could only round up 8 skaters (1 of which was the other goalie) in order to play their second game and their result was not favorable either.

So how did the game go then you ask?  Well f-word you for making me re-live that but here we go:

It sucked.  Thats how it went.  We lost 9-6 to a team we had previously beat 7-1.  We put in a valiant effort, throwing 49 shots at the Dazed&Confused goalie over the course of the game.  We also had a really solid second period and by the start of the third were only down 5-4.

However, 15 Dazed and Confused players tired out 8 Gators and the third was a hot mess 4 goals against ticket to the golf course.  There, I'm gonna go cry now.  Happy?!

Other Gator News:

-  The deep philosophical question regarding longevity of black vs white stick tape rages on.  Its tricky because white probably seems to last shorter because its probably bleached.  But then again black might last longer because you dont see puck marks on black... cause puck marks are black... and therefore dont change it as often.   Hmmmmm

-  Culby retired from home doing dad stuff in a sexy Gator branded hoodie... available through the "Sponsors" tab if you are so inclined to do some shopping.  No pressure...

-  Trace rocked the Brokeback Mountain look.  No one that I know of darted back to the dressing room to sniff his shirt... that I know of...

-  Spenny went -2, and probably gained +2 in Easter chocolates
