CELEBRATING OUTDOOR HOCKEY ACROSS CANADA
iPlayHockey and CARHA Hockey are teaming up to celebrate Canada’s timeless tradition of outdoor hockey this winter. To celebrate the people who bring ODRs to life, iPlayHockey is joining our partners at CARHA Hockey by adding a fun, skills-based element to their annual ODR contest.
Show us your best move on the ice — a skill, shot, or creative moment that captures your passion for the game. Big moves or small moments, it all counts. Participants will then be entered to win 1 of 4 brand-new hockey sticks, valued at $400 each!

- Send @iPlayHockey.ca a DM with a video (15 seconds or less) of your best skill, shot, or cool move on your ODR
- Like the iPlayHockey contest post on Instagram
- Share the contest post to your IG story and tag @iplayhockey.ca (so we can see it!)
What you can win:
- One of four hockey sticks
(approx. value: $400 CAD each) - + a feature on iPlayHockey’s social channels
- + a shoutout for the ODR you nominated as part of the CARHA Hockey campaign
CARHA Hockey’s ODR Submission
Win 1 of 3 $1,000 Grand Prizes

CARHA Hockey will award three (3) community outdoor rinks with $1,000 towards their ODR operating or equipment costs for the 2026 season.*
Contest Details
How to Enter
Complete the contest entry form on their website and upload a photo or a short video (15 seconds or less) along with your submission. Your entry does not need to be hockey-related.
Entries will be posted in the ‘Submissions’ section. Please allow up to 24-48 hours for your entry to appear.
Winners will be randomly drawn from all submissions.
Who/What Can Be Nominated
- Any ODR in your community (municipal rink, community rink, privately-owned public rink)
- Personal ODR (backyard, lake, pond, etc)*
* Winnings must be directed towards the operating or equipment costs of a publicly accessible outdoor rink.
Note: If your annual outdoor rink is not yet open for the season (or this year’s operations have been affected by weather), you can still participate! Tell us why the outdoor rink is important.
Boost your entries
An outdoor rink can be nominated multiple times to increase your odds! One entry will be counted per e-mail address.
