Drill overview

Quick release shooting is the goal here.

  • Set up two players near the faceoff dots.

  • The receiver should focus on shooting immediately after the pass — no stickhandling.

  • Prioritize speed over power to surprise the goalie.

  • To make it harder, send a pass into your partner’s skates to simulate a broken play.
